everyone else's energy has me drained

their fears

their sadness

i'm overcome with emotion

creating absolute commotion

their guilt

their shame

it all feels like a game

every day never the same

their disappointment

their annoyance

it all leaves me heavy and sad

wondering when they will be glad

filled with joy filled with love

what my soul needs to be

in order to feel free

filled with gratitude

filled with peace
